The above quote comes from Henri Cartier-Bresson, the man who is often considered the father of modern photojournalism and who helped develop the art form known as "street photography".
The purpose of this photoblog is to milk as many cows as possible, hoping to eventually produce some wonderful cheese.
I'd like for photography to become a second-nature experience for me -- to become so familiar with the technical process, to hone the creative eye, and experience the rush of the shutter snap as often as possible so that taking a photo becomes almost extinctive. The advent of digital photography has made this process of capturing the image much easier - and cheaper. But although I enjoy photography immensely, I still need to be motivated (I blame this on my self-diagnosed ADD).
So CRUMBLING-IMAGES.COM - A PHOTOBLOG is my motivation.
A Little About The Photographer
I am a native New Yorker who recently moved out into the suburbs. Though I have tried my hand at all different types of photographic styles, I especially enjoy the art of "street photography". And what better place than New York City to photograph life on the street? Therefore, this site has it's share of black & white street photography.
However, as a self-described New Yorker In Exile, I have now been introduced to some of the pleasures of greenery, open spaces, and colorful foliage. Therefore, a good deal of the daily pictures posted on this photoblog are also dedicated to my home away from home, Central New Jersey.
So, I suppose then that the images featured here provide you with a Yin-Yang view of my world, and the photos that I choose to capture. I hope you enjoy them!

The majority of the images posted on this photoblog have been taken with a Nikon D70 Digital SLR. Some photos were original shot with Nikon N80 and Nikon N65 film cameras (negatives and transparencies scanned for online posting).
